Updated: Nov 4, 2022

The start of the 2022-23 campaign is just days away. As the program completes its final preparations, Drake took the opportunity to welcome recruits from the wide-open class of 2025. Meet the latest prospects that were extended offers.

Libby Fandel (5'11" G | Cedar Rapids, IA)

Libby Fandel shined in her first varsity season at Cedar Rapids Xavier. The 5'11" guard led Xavier in scoring (13.0), rebounding (5.2), assists (2.1), steals (2.2), and three-pointers made (45). The shooting guard connected on 44.8 percent of her shots from the field, 41.7 percent from beyond the arc, and 70.0 percent from the free throw line. Fandel displayed her talents at the Iowa High School Girls State Basketball Tournament, guiding Xavier to a Class 4A championship and was named the 4A all-tournament team captain. A standout volleyball player, Fandel was recently honored as the 4A all-tournament team captain on Xavier's state championship team.

Fandel has received offers from South Dakota and South Dakota State.

Jaeden Pratt (5'8" G | Ankeny, IA)

Jaeden Pratt has been gaining attention following a breakout freshman season at Ankeny Centennial. A tremendous multi-sport athlete, Pratt did a little bit of everything for the Jaguars a year ago. The 5'8" guard averaged 5.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 39.4 percent from the field and 29.0 percent from long range. Pratt has offers from Northern Iowa, South Dakota, Milwaukee, Illinois State, Nebraska-Omaha, and St. Thomas (MN).
